Throughout the novella, the pearl of the world has gone through several symbolic changes. At different points it represents different things to the characters and the audience. In a well-organized essay you must present 3 different interpretations of what the pearl represents in the novella. You must support your findings with examples from the text. Remember, it can mean different things to different people-including the reader.
